Dr. Grygla is a Board Certified Family Practice Physician.  He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and completed his medical training at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Dr. Grygla has had post graduate training in emergency medicine.  He completed a family practice residency and a fellowship in obstetrics at the University of Utah.  Dr. Grygla practiced at Garfield Memorial Clinic and Hospital in Panguitch, Utah before moving to St. George.

He enjoys acting in community theater, set construction, international travel, rock climbing, and various computer related activities.

Dr. Bigham is a Board Certified Family Practice Physician.  He was born in Indiana and completed his medical training at the University of New England,  College of Osteopathic Medicine.    He completed a family practice residency at the University of Utah and at the Carle Foundation Family Practice Residency in Champagne-Urbana, Illinois..  Dr. Bigham practiced in Eagar, Arizona, before moving to St. George.

He enjoys hiking and spending time with his family.

Shauna McBride is originally from the state of Washington.  She enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds.  She has experience working in family practice and internal medicine clinics and in nursing home facilities.  She lived in Chile for 1-1/2 years and is bilingual.  Her interests include reading, traveling, backpacking, camping, and spending time with family.

Jay Lott is originally from Price, Utah.  He graduated from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center with an emphasis in Pediatrics.  He relocated from Gilbert, Arizona to join the SWUCHC staff.  Jay enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.  he also enjoys golf, softball, fishing and camping.

Adon Pearson was born in Boulder, CO, raised in Tuscon, AZ, and has lived in Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, and most recently Kingman, AZ.  He practiced in Physical Therapy for over 10 years, and then decided to go back to school to become a Physician Assistant.  He enjoys spendings time with his family, out door activities, and travel.

Karen Whittemore, FNP

Janice is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her undergraduate degree from Weber State University, Ogden, Utah. Her graduate degree in social work was earned at Walla Walla University, College Place, Washington.

Before coming to the Community Health Center, she worked at Jonathan Wainwright VA Medical Center (Walla Walla, Washington), Community Mental Health Center (Mesquite, Nevada), and two local Adolescent Residential Treatment Centers. Her practice emphasis is mental health therapy.

Dr. Earl is a Board Certified Doctor of Dental Medicine.  He has his own practice and has partnered with us to serve our patients two days a week at our dental clinic located at Millcreek High School.

Karen Whittemore was born in Maryland and raised in Salt Lake City.  She moved to Cedar City to go to school at SUU on a theatre scholarship.  She later discovered the nursing program offered through Weber State University's outreach program and earned her RN associates and bachelors degree and worked as a nurse on the medical/surgical floor at Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City.  In 1998 she earned her master's degree in the Science of Nursing and became a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.  She spent 6 years in pediatrics practicing at Valley View Pediatrics and then moved on to family practice in 2006 and has been practicing at the Hurricane Family Clinic.

She is a singer/songwriter on the side and has recorded 2 CDs and enjoys performing with her band Love Creature.  She also enjoys gardening, cooking, going for walks in the evening with her husband, and yoga.
