Southwest Utah Community Health Center Mission Statement: To improve the health status of our community by providing accessible, quality health care services, regardless of financial, language, or cultural barriers. Services Reduced Cost Prescription Medications Are the Costs of Prescription Medications Draining Your Budget? Reduced price medications are available for Community Health Center Patients. The best health care a clinician can provide is ineffective if patients cannot afford or do not take their medications. Therefore, in 1995, the Association for Utah Community Health (AUCH) established the Pharmacy Services Program (PSP) to provide reduced cost medications for patients of member Community Health Centers. Through an agreement with Smith's Food and Drug, Southwest Utah Community Health Center Patients can receive reduced cost prescriptions from the local pharmacy at:
Patients who do not qualify for any public assistance and do not have private insurance coverage or enough money to purchase prescription medications for chronic diseases, may qualify for a "Patient Assistance Program." These programs, offered by many pharmaceutical companies, provide a limited supply of free or low-cost medications to patients who are unable to use other programs and who otherwise would not be able to afford needed medications.
