Family Practice Physician
We have an immediate opening for a full time family practice physician with OB experience. We are a non profit organization and our mission is to provide high quality health care to medically underserved, ethnic and racial minorities regardless of ability to pay. We are a growing practice with one physician and two physician assistants and provide prenatal care and delivery to approvimately 250 women each year. Bilingual Spanish/English speaking ability preferred as most of our prenatal patients are monolingual Spanish speaking. JCAHO accredited; potential NHSC loan repayment. Competitive salary with an excellent benefit package.

Why we love it here!
St. George is perhaps one of the most beautiful desert areas in the United States. As a family friendly community, we are surrounded by red sandstone cliffs; with alpine forests and mountains in the distance. At 2800 feet above sea level, we have mild winters (yes, palm trees grow here) and over 300 days of sunshine a year!
The county population is around 140,000, so you get the small hometown feel, yet we're big enough to have all the retail that you would expect in a larger city; i.e. Target, Wal-mart, Home Depot, Lowes, Dillards, Sears, JC Penney. etc. We have all the restaurants that you would expect in a town this size including an Olive Garden, and an In-n-Out Burger, the first in Utah!
This is a paradise for those who love the outdoors. Hiking and biking possibilities are endless. We have three reservoirs within 30 minutes for boating and water-sking. It the local lakes aren't big enough for you, Lake Mead and Lake Powell are about an hour and a half away! We are within 45 minutes of Zion National Park, and an hour and a half away from Bryce Canyon National Park or the Grand Canyon.
Want to drive to larger cities for the weekend??? Las Vegas is 1 1/2 hours away, Salt Lake City is 4 hours, and Los Angeles is a 5 1/2 hour drive. Our local airport flies to Salt Lake and Los Angeles. And you can always go to Las Vegas to fly anywhere in the country, pretty cheaply too! But truthfully, its such a nice area, you'll want to stick around here, we have the best backyard in the world!
